Each spacious villa also has a large living room, dining room, kitchen and large out door teak floored verandah deck for dining or viewing the panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and its golden sunsets. A “ birdwatchers paradise”, the Alefounder Bird Sanctuary is just next door. The management has just completed revisions to villas added cable T.V, Cd players, new landscape, new pool bar and furnishings.

Should your flight arrive late into the paradise called Tobago - but just in time, perhaps, to see the evening sky glow over Stonehaven Bay - don't give dinner a second thought. By prior arrangement, your private cook has left a scrumptious West Indian meal in the oven. You may savor it by candlelight on the verandah of your shell-pink, three-bedroom British Colonial villa. And if you arise early for a sunrise beach walk, there's fresh juice in the fridge, along with all the ingredients for a hearty breakfast.
This is no fantasy. It's all part of the idyllic charm at Plantation Beach Villas which sits at the edge of a tropical rain forest, midway between a bird sanctuary and the Caribbean Sea. The setting is enhanced by 19th-century island architecture, perfectly tended lawns and gracious hosts.
A cluster of six private villas, the compound is the dream come true of two sailing buddies and native Tobagonians, Brenda Farfan and Jennifer Avey. They selected most of the handmade furnishings, original art, four-poster beds and fine linens. And they complemented it with a loyal staff of gardeners, housekeepers, cooks and even on-call babysitters.
Nearby are all sorts of adventures - scuba diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, sailing, windsurfing, bird-watching, rain-forest hiking, and golfing at the Mt. Irvine Bay Club, one of the Caribbean's most stunning courses.
