"My husband and I just got back from St. Martin, where we spent 5 nights at Hotel L'Esplanade. We can not say enough positive things about this hotel and its staff and managers. Kristen and Mark are the management of both this hotel and the LE PETIT Hotel on the other side of Grand Case. They are fantastic, very guest oriented and an amazing source of information. The hotel is low key, quiet, and beautifully decorated with blue Mediterranean-like tiles, flowers, and interesting decorative touches. The room we stayed in was a deluxe studio loft - all the rooms have views of the water. A short walk gets you to the main strip of restaurants in Grand Case, which have delicious food (at NYC prices, I must add). The beach in Grand Case is small (but pretty), so if you are looking for a place to spend time on a large beach, you will likely have to take a short trip over to another ST. Martin beach. We spent most of our time at their pool, where we felt like we had it all to ourselves. While the hotel was full, it did not feel crowded, and the other guests were extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel, or the Petit Hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet, luxurious, and beautiful hotel."
